Low saturation/washed out photos lately after uploading
#HELP WITHUPLOADING

In the last few weeks I have been uploading photos and they look completely washed out and de-saturdated after upload.   In the critique remarks I am getting technical and light for needs improvement.   Have setting changed or am I doing something wrong?  It was never like this 6 weeks ago.  I see other photos that are well saturated.   On my side the aspens and the tips of the mountains are well saturated and this is how they look after up loading.  Just looking on a solution

Rob,

Beautiful photo!   I can see how stronger colours would help though.

First thing to check is the color profile of the files you're uploading.  Most websites display photos in sRGB profile, so it's best to convert your files to that before uploading.  If you're editing in ProPhoto or Adobe RGB, colours will look different on your screen than they will after the website converts them to sRGB.  To change a profile in Photoshop, use 'Edit>Convert to Profile'.  (not 'Assign Profile)

Thanks Steven

I received a VERY low percentage on the above photo.  I will check my setting, but I am pretty sure I am in sRGB but who knows.  I appriciate the response.  I could have hit something else and it just stuck there.

Thanks again.

Thanks, Steven;

After reading this post and your suggestion, I decided to check my Photoshop actions. I found that I, too, was converting my images from my working color space (ProPhoto) to Adobe RBG. Since then, I've corrected my error, and hopefully, my submissions will fare better.
