Hi,
Among the curation items, there is a question "How does this photo make you feel?",
but it has detailed expressions and is difficult for people whose first language is not English.
I make an effort to answer by looking up words in a dictionary, but do other people go to that extent? One of the works I submitted for judging so far was a positive style, but a curator called it "stressed." It may have been a mistake, but I think the evaluation of this item has more of an impact on motivation than failing the judging. Frankly, I think this item is unnecessary.
I totally agree with you Miki. I have had several images "labelled" as making the viewer fell "stressed" or "confused" and I could not find anything in my images that would warrant such feelings. I personnally no longer ever answer that question. I skip it, which goes to show that I find it useless. I had raised a question about that in this forum before but it was never answered. I feel upset when I am told that one of my pictures makes someone "stressed' especially when it is something like a flower or a bird. And it does have an impact on my motivation as well.
Let's hope that for a change, someone in the decision making process team will read this and do something about it. !
Lucie,
I'm glad you agree with my opinion. I think there are many people other than us who are demotivated by the existence of this label. Also, when I curate myself, there are many expressions and I have to choose very carefully for the other person, so it's a bit stressful for me. Therefore, I would appreciate it if the management side could remove the "feeling" item, as I think it is stressful for both the curator and the person being curated.

I would recommend to skip it. Don't waste your time trying to find the right feeling that might not even be there. There is a Skip button. :-)
Yes, of course I skip when it is difficult to evaluate. Thank you for your kindness.
