Hello,

I sent this image to curation. Any thoughts about it?

Vlad,

You did very nice work with very clear and nice drops. I tried to give this area a fraction more attention. I lighted and turned a fraction and reduced the red a little bit. See if you like it but follow your own taste. Theo-senior critic.

Hello, Vlad Ioan

Welcome to our forum. This is a nice close-up image. I personally like taking similar images. There is a natural fade to blur  in the foreground and bakground. The water droplets in the focused area look crisp and sharp. I would have voted publish because of my personal tendency to these kind of images. Yet for the curation I am not much sure. It may surprise us. I think we have to ask ourselves a simple or some simple questions here. What did I see differently from other photographers that might grab the attention of the viewer? What different technique did I use that would want the viewer make wish it was their technique? What message did I clearly convey to the viewer here that made them look at my image for more than thirty seconds? As an 1x member for acouple of years, I started to think about these questions more each day. So, for shortcomings, I find none worth mentioning now. However, my answers to the above questions are also not very promising. Have great light....

Dear Vlad,

Thanks for submitting your photo to the critique forum. I share Cicek view that it is a nice close-up image, yet it is a

category that produce many beautiful such images and the question raised is how we give it an added value.

I made slight changes to the cropping, I think that it is worth considering converting the image to B&W which gives it more dreamatic and moody look, which in my opinion,  enhances the image.

Hope you like it.
