I wanted to see snow bergers in Yosemite valley view for many years. Finally I got it in the first month of 2024. I reseached weather around there

. I was so excieted when I saw those snow bergers in the valley and snow on trees. And also fog around there.  I used Sony A1,  Sony 16-35 @25mm,  Aperture at  f/11,  shutter speed 0.20s and ISO 50. CPL filter was used. Process tools was Photoshop. Mainly used ACR filter. Any comments and criticizes are welcome! Thanks.

Hi and welcome to critique. Wonderful location and a image of beauty well captured. This is just my take on your fine image. Composition wise very good wonderful depth. All I tred to do is go for that 3D look. Photoshop /  Some Dodge and Burn tool work on the moutains and rock face. Nik Tools Tonal Contrast painted on the land mass only and not the sky. Clear View +20 Thank you for sharing

Hello,

Welcome to our forum. It is a really mesmerizing landscape that I am looking at. I like the general composition, the dreamy look that was enhanced by the snowfall and the time of the day. There are a few things I would like to share with you about your image. As my friend Daniel did, I took a snapshot of your image. My first intention was to work on the white balance. I thought the snow in front looked too bluish. However, when I went over to Photoshop and saw the image on my 27 inch screen, I realized that this blue hue should rather stay. I did some color and light as well as contrast edits. As my friend , contrast enhances the look. I used another software to do this. It is SmartPhotoEditor Studio by Anthropics. it can be used as a standalone software, or you can use it as a plug-in for Photoshop. If you are into using filters in your edits, I would recommend this software which I have for about three years. With this software I used the shading contrast filter. This is very similar to Tonal contrast in the Nik Collection software. This filter applies dodges and burns to highlights and shadows to enhance the 3-D look. Afterwards, I lightened the shadows, and then reduced the exposure a bit. I like editing images. I do not mind using software like this one too enhance my images. They are just time saving to me. However, you can choose to do these manually. As said, before the three steps are dodging and burning applied on highlights and shadows, reducing exposure and highlights slightly and lighting up shadows you can add a hue and saturation adjustment layer to enhance the overall color  of your image as well. I like your composition. I just want to add thet the foreground could have looked more complete had you not cropped off the rocks. I wish you good light...Çiçek

Hello Youqin

Welcome to 1x, and thank you for sharing this beautiful landscape photo with us. I love the atmosphere and the delicate hues in the sky and the rock left of centre. You have already had two excellent edits from my colleagues, but I often like to suggest a different option so I am posting a monochrome version with light tones and a slight hint of blue to emphasise the cold feeling. I expect you will prefer to maintain the original colour image, and the decision is always yours, of course.

Good light, Elizabeth

Hello,

from my personal point of view, the photo as it is is already close to perfection - I personally would only change the sky ;-)

Greetings

Hello,

Thank you for submitting your photo to this forum. It is a place that many photographers dream of. I am one of them too.

You've come across beautiful conditions. Your photo is full of charm. Nevertheless, I will suggest a change that will show this place a little differently.

I made all changes in PSCC 2024 in Camera Raw. I added some lights in the middle of the photo and "warmed up" the water, subtracting some of the harsh atmosphere.

Of course, this is my vision of your photo.

Regards
