I hope I am not being a bit obnoxious by sharing a lot of photos in the criticism forum; but I really want to improve my photography. I must say that I am really learning a lot here from your personal photographic experiences .
Having said that , this photo I took of my wife in a small orthodox church in Santorini. the original photo is much larger..and I wanted to crop it. Taken from below freehand. I will give you the shooting settings.
Camera : Sony a7r3
Focal Length: 17-28mm (in 35mm)
Exposure : 1/500 sec. ; F/5 ; Iso 160 ; Manual .

A nice image the way it is now. I did some changes. turning and straighten, worked on light and shadows and the white. Theo L.
PS.The white triangle below may be a small fraction darker.

Una bella immagine così com'è ora. Ho fatto qualche modifica. Girando e raddrizzando, ho lavorato su luci e ombre e sul bianco. Theo L.
P.S. Il triangolo bianco qui sotto potrebbe essere leggermente più scuro.

Welcome to our forum. I first visited your portfolio. I think you have the eye to catch good scenes. The technical part is also not bad. First we should love what we do and then keep on learning to do better with every new image. Learning never stops, especially in todays world. The straightening Theo did is what can be improved in your image. The colors, composition and light is quite fine. I also like the angle you chose to take the image. Curators are quite many in number and they each look at the image from their own perpective. What may go wrong here is just my guess. The image is more like a family travel photo to be enjoyed with family and friends. It is a nice one, well taken. The most important question to ask oneself is: "What is my purpose in taking this image?, or, What do I want the viewers to see and understand with this image?" The more global the answer gets the better will your image be understood and liked. I wish you good light...Cicek

Benvenuto nel nostro forum. Ho visitato per la prima volta il tuo portfolio. Penso che tu abbia l'occhio per catturare belle scene. Anche la parte tecnica non è male. Innanzitutto dovremmo amare ciò che facciamo e poi continuare a imparare per migliorare con ogni nuova immagine. L'apprendimento non si ferma mai, soprattutto nel mondo di oggi. Il raddrizzamento che ha fatto Theo è ciò che può essere migliorato nella tua immagine. I colori, la composizione e la luce sono piuttosto buoni. Mi piace anche l'angolazione che hai scelto per scattare l'immagine. I curatori sono piuttosto numerosi e ognuno guarda l'immagine dalla propria prospettiva. Ciò che potrebbe andare storto qui è solo una mia ipotesi. L'immagine è più simile a una foto di viaggio di famiglia da godersi con la famiglia e gli amici. È bella, ben scattata. La domanda più importante da porsi è: "Qual è lo scopo per cui scatto questa immagine?, oppure, cosa voglio che gli spettatori vedano e capiscano con questa immagine?" Più la risposta diventa globale, meglio la tua immagine sarà compresa e apprezzata. Ti auguro buona luce... Cicek
