Please tell me what's wrong with this picture. How can I chang it to making it be published. I like the peaceful feeling very much. Some people said the moon wasn't very clear. I made a new one which is still not select. I had asked friends about it and they were all like it.  I am really curious what is the problem then. I will really appreciate if anyone could give me some advice! Thank you very much!
Above the bigger moon is the older version. The new version is under the smaller full moon.

Yu Wei,

There's nothing wrong with the photo - but it is a common subject,  a common theme.  There are many similar photos of the full moon behind the bare branches of a tree.

If there were a silhouetted owl sitting on a branch of the tree, or some birds flying across the moon in the background it might have more interest.

Technically, the branches are sharp, but the moon is a bit soft.  It would be difficult to use a sharpening tool for the moon without over-sharpening the branches.  You might try adding texture rather than sharpening.  In Photoshop's 'Filter>Camera Raw Filter', the 'Texture', 'Clarity', and 'Dehaze' sliders in the 'Basic' section of that filter will give the moon some structure.  I think if the moon were a warm tone and the sky more cool and blue it might help too.  These are just suggestions.

I'm guessing you must have used an extreme telephoto lens to get this shot - or quite a bit of cropping.

I've  made a quick edit of a screen capture and attached it below to illustrate my suggestions.

Thank you for sharing the photo with us here in Critique.

Hello, Yu Wei

Welcome to our forum and thank you for sharing this beautiful image with us. I think it's a nice image and appeals to me. Yet it appeals to me in my way, it's an image with potential to be improved. I like the suggestion my friend, Steven made, and mine is close to his but with some additions to it. This image has got a fantastic sight to it, and I think that should be brought to the light. So I suggest that you darken the background of the moon and add some elements like birds, for example. The mysterious atmosphere should be used to improve the image. I tried to visualize my advice, however you have the original and you can use your own style if you'd like to improve it this way. However, I think there's no harm in trying. I wish you could light…Cicek Kiral SC.
