Hello Senior Critics,
This image was taken at the rise of the sun. Only a few autumn leaves are left on the tree and the branches are drenched with morning dew.
I would like to know if you would have any suggestions to improve.

Yu Naka,
I think improvement for this composition is difficult. In my vison you had to come closer to the subject by taking this composition for better details. Your goal are the red leaves. Don't see it as a improvement, but I made a crop only to see a little bit what I mean. Theo- senior critic.
Hello Yu,
Welcome to the forum, and thank you for sharing this autumn photo with us. I love the way the light picks out the details, with the last few red leaves standing out. My immediate reaction was that the leaf on the left was distracting my attention from the other group of red leaves, so I have cropped the left side and just a little from the lower edge. I added a little light as well. It's always up to you to decide whether you want to make any changes, of course.
Wishing you good light, Elizabeth
Hello Theo and Elizabeth,
Thank you very much for your suggestions.
I agree with the idea to crop off the far-left leave so that the other group of red leaves on the right will draw more attention.

Yu
Hello Yu,
thank you very much for uploading your photo to this forum. I will show you my view of your photo.
I decided to change the background to B&W in PSCC 2023. In addition, I slightly pulled out the reds of the leaves using a selective color. In my opinion, now the image is more contrasting and decisive.
Of course, this is my vision of your photo.
Good luck !

Hello Slawomir,
Thank you for sharing your vision. I see that the image became more contrasting and it gets the red leaves to stand out more. Also, the number and the volume of the leaves are more balanced now I think.
Thanks,
Yu

My pleasure :-) Good luck !
I see some comments about composition and have improved the shot a lot. What I loved about the photo however is stark contrast between the red leaves and a cold, harsh day, I wonder then is the slightest of blue tint in the greys might add to this?
Hello Rob,
Thank you for your suggestion. Adding slight blue tint might also work and enhance the contrast.
Thanks,
Yu
